The new Porsche 911 GT3 RS got its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show.
Porsche says the GT3 RS has the max amount of motorsport tech that they could get into a street legal 911 and still be driven as an every day car.
Its 4.0 liter six cylinder engine puts out 500 horsepower and 338 lb. -ft of torque. This naturally aspirated engine with direct fuel injection will take you 60 mph in 3.1 seconds and cover the quarter mile in 11.2 seconds.
The 911 GT3 RS has a magnesium roof, carbon fiber engine and luggage lids. All aimed at shaving weight, it is 22 pounds lighter than the 911 GT3.
All this means the 911 GT3 RS gets round the Nuerburgring Nordschleife 5 seconds faster than the 911 GT3.
The inside is based on the GT3 but has full bucket seats. There is an optional Sport Chrono package.
You can order the 911 GT3 RS today and U.S. buyers can expect delivery in July of this year.
Pricing starts at $175,900 plus $995 destination charge.
