Check out this great collection of pics of the Lamborghini Aventador SV, the Italian firm’s most impressive production car to date. The LP 750-4 Superveloce is obviously some serious eye-candy, but it’s what’s inside that counts, right?
Thankfully, the Lamborghini Aventador SV doesn’t let you down in that department either managing 0-62 in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 217mph.
The Aventador SV’s naturally aspirated V8 has more power than the standard Aventador pushing out 750hp. It’s also 110lbs lighter thanks to substantial use of carbon fiber, including in the monocoque chassis and engine bonnet, rear spoiler and side air vents. Elsewhere, aluminum was used in the front and rear frames as well as the front bonnet, fenders and doors.
The SV has racing-style pushrod suspension to help in those corners. The combination evidently works well, as the Lamborghini Aventador SV just completed a lap of the Nurburgring Nordschleife track in Germany in a super-fast 6 minutes 59.73 — just two seconds off the Porsche 918 Spyder.
