The latest car to drop jaws from the Italian super car maker is the Lamborghini Asterion.
The full title is the Lamborghini Asterion LPI 910-4 and the car made its world debut at the Paris Auto Show.
Although a tech demonstrator, Lamborghini say they could produce the car with current technology.
Powered by a a V10 5.2 liter combined with three electric motors the car can put out a total of 910 horsepower (610 V10 and 300 electric). That will take it to 100km/h (62 mph) in 3 seconds and top out at 320 km/h (198 mph).
When just using the electric motors the Asterion can reach 125 km/h (77 mph) and has a range of 50 km (31 miles).
All this power is delivered to all four wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and the body is all carbon fibre with 21/22″ wheels.
Inside the Asterion is all leather, aluminium, forged carbon fibre and titanium. The power modes are controlled via three button on the wheel. With Zero – for zero emissions/full electric; I for ‘Ibrido’ (hybrid) and T for ‘Termico (thermal) power….come on how cool is that, give us Termico!
The Asterion is so called as it the proper name for the Minotaur, who was half man and half bull.
