They might look like tiny toy cars in this pic, but these three Porsches are actually worth an estimated $10million.
The trio of classics are owned by actor/comedian Jerry Seinfeld, but the renowned car nut is putting them under auction in March.
The blue 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder has an estimate of $5million-$6million, while the yellow 1974 911 Carrera 3.0 IROC RSR has an estimate of $1.2million-$1.5million and the green 1958 356A 1500 GS/GT Carrera Speedster is estimated to fetch $2million-$2.5million.
The auction will take place at the Amelia Island Auction in Florida on March 11, and is being sold through the prestigious Gooding & Company classic car auction specialists.
The cars are currently on show at the Scottsdale Auctions in Arizona.
Gooding & Company President David Gooding said: “Jerry’s keen eye for significant Porsches, the care and pride he takes in maintaining his spectacular collection and his enthusiasm and passion for the Porsche marque, makes this one of our
most thrilling sales in our company’s history.”
Seinfeld, whose car collection is the stuff of legend, insisted that he has not once bought a car for investment. He said his purchases have always been driven by the fact he just “loves cars”. He said: “I still love these cars. But it’s time to send some of them back into the world, for someone else to enjoy, as I have.”
