Porsche has seen record sales in the first six months of 2013.
The German firm shipping 81,500 sports cars worldwide from January to June — up a massive 18 PER CENT on the figure for the first half of 2012.
In June the manufacturer shifted 14,300 vehicles from its factories, up 13 per cent on the same month last year.
The Asia Pacific, Africa and Middle East region saw its six-month sales figure up an enormous 25 per cent on 2012.
It overtook Europe to take the crown for the region with the most Porsches sold — after 30,430 being snapped up by customers compared to 26,199 in Europe.
The most successful model was the Porsche Cayenne, above, with 42,354 of them sold globally — a year-on-year increase of 22 per cent.
Porche marketing chief Bernhard Maier said: “We’ve had a good first half to the year and go into the second six months highly motivated.”
