Mercedes have released details of their new Mercedes-AMG C63.
This top end of the C-Class line-up sports a 4.0 liter V8 biturbo endine that puts out 469 horsepower with a top speed of 155 mph and 0-60 mph in 4 seconds. This is delivered via the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sport transmission that can be in auto or manually changed via the flappy paddle on the wheel.
Suspension is independent with electronically controlled shock absorbers and three settings ranging from sports to comfort.
The wheels on the standard C63 are titanium grey painted and polished 18″ alloys.
There is a more powerful S model that gets some more horses (503) and will get to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds. The S model can also have optional ceramic brakes added.
Finally there is the the C63 “Edition 1” model. It comes with forged wheels in matt black with red rims, red accents on the radiator grille and mirrors and similar inside detailing with a performance seats, panels and armrest all in black nappa leather with red contrast stitching.
The cars will be on show at the Paris Auto Show early next month and will go on sale in the USA March 2015.
