Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has compared his cooking to the experience of driving a Ferrari.
The British restaurateur made the comparison on a recent trip to Ferrari’s factory in Maranello, Italy.
The Hell’s Kitchen star, who bought a $1.5million (£1million) LaFerrari earlier this year, said the thrill of getting behind the wheel of one of the Italian firm’s supercars was like sitting down at a restaurant and being served an amazing meal.
He added that both he and the Italian firm shared “the ability to see what no one else can see and to deliver excellence”, as well as the ability to be versatile and stay ahead of the competition.
Ramsay is known to visit Maranello whenever he is in the area. On his most recent visit he test-drove the new 488 GTB around Ferrari’s Fiorano test track and posed with a California T, said to be one of his favorite models.

Ramsay has owned more than 15 Ferraris since hitting the big time, and was spotted out and about in his LaFerrari in London just a couple of weeks back.
After buying the car in March he told followers on Instagram: “Holy Mackerel its Fast…”. He added: “My first trip was out on the M4 to watch Megs Netball fyi it didn’t take me long to get there…”
