Chevrolet, GMC and Buick are expanding their discount scheme to all 21 million U.S. military veterans and their spouses for the next eight weeks.
While the scheme is usually only available to veterans within one year of leaving the military.
Now, in honor of National Military Appreciation Month, every veteran will be able to take advantage until May 31.
The scheme is already also available to serving personnel and retirees.
Spouses of all the above are also able to take advantage of the discounts, which are available on vehicles including the Chevrolet Malibu, Silverado, and Cruze, the GMC Sierra, and the Buick Encore.
A real perk in the scheme is that it can also be combined with other offers.
GM vice president of U.S. sales and service, Steve Hill, said: “These brave men and women have done so much for our country. Making sure all veterans can take advantage of our military discount to celebrate Military Appreciation Month is one small way we can express our gratitude.”

GM has several other ongoing efforts to help veterans, including GMC’s #enlistme campaign to help the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Tower Foundation build homes for ex-service personnel with serious injuries.
Meanwhile Chevrolet is supporting the USX team’s efforts to get the first injured-in-combat U.S. veteran and serving soldiers to the top of Mount Everest.
