The 2014 Ferrari F12 Berlinetta is the second fastest production car in Ferrari’s supercar range — priced from $323,338.
It can do over 211mph, with only the Ferrari FF capable of reaching a higher speed. The F12 Berlinetta comes equipped with a hugely powerful 6.3 liter double overhead cam V12 engine that pumps out a massive 730 hp.
It comes with a seven-speed automated manual transmission operated from paddle-shifters on the steering wheel. Super-fast gear changes mean the car can reach 60 mph from rest in just 3.1 seconds, one of the fastest recorded times across the auto world this production year.
Mileage varies with the owner’s driving style, but the F12 is estimated to get about 10mpg in the city and about 14mpg on the highway using premium fuel.
The F12 comes in a single base model that includes sport front seats, speed-proportional power steering, transmission controls on the steering wheel, front reading lights, and rain sensing window wipers. It also has a navigation system with real time traffic, built-in telephone system, touchscreen entertainment system, alloy and leather trim, and front-wheel independent suspension.
The sides of the F12 are more structured than in the past with a deep scoop on each of the doors, and it produces downdraft by a new “aero bridge” feature which pushes air through vents on the side of the car.
The brakes are cooled with an active cooling system at high temperatures. Safety features include antilock brakes, front and side airbags, improved traction and a Formula One-developed stability control system for cornering on tight turns.
The interior comes with the customer’s choice of leather, suede and carbon alloy. Cargo capacity is 15.7 cubic feet with the seats in place or 28.3 cubic feet with the seats folded down. The F12 Berlinetta comes with a seven-year, 84,500 mile warranty that includes all maintenance performed free by Ferrari.
