If we’re honest, the 1990s didn’t give us a lot — Tamagotchis, Wassup and MmmBop…
But thankfully in the world of motoring there was actually some pure awesomeness kicking around. Ladies and gentlemen, may we present the Lamborghini Diablo.
A car where the designers basically just said ‘what the f***, we’re just going to do what we want’.
The Diablo first went on sale on January 21, 1990, powered by a 5.7liter V12 producing 492hp and 428lb/ft of torque. In 1998, a 6.0liter V12 version was also made available, upping the power output to 575hp and 457lb/ft of torque.
From the start it could do 0-62mph in around 4.5 seconds with a top speed of 202mph.
And did we forget to mention the looks?
